Darryll Jones is a conceptual artist and an ex graphic designer, having worked in the packaging industry for over 10 years in South Africa, he came to the UK in 2009 and switched to photography. Having being employed by Tesco Media centre for going on 6 years now, he has travelled the UK extensively taking pictures of everything from Farmers to customers to colleagues, in the studio he can be found shooting lifestyle images, products and more recently Food for in store advertising as well as packaging.
He likes to think of his hobby as a second job, travelling to remote locations and shooting his trusty old pal Eric the stormtrooper, which has been met with huge success on instagram, having nearly on 100 000 followers and being featured regularly around the world in articles and magazines. This has seen a surge of advertisers and commissions on his feed and also given him great exposure to working with some fantastic companies. He has done 2 exhibitions in China with the wonderfactory, a collective of like minded toy photographers, where he has sold his numbered prints to global clients.
He also creates and sells coffee paintings and Vans shoes via his instagram feed and is a regular contributor to the iPad digital magazine : REtouch.
